| The Municipal Building Commission strives to ensure the safety of City Hall and Courthouse tenants and visitors. MBC Security Officers are on duty 24-hours-per-day and seven-days-per-week to patrol the physical grounds of the building and respond to tenant concerns and calls for service. MBC Security Officers also staff the Security Desk located in the Rotunda of the building and monitor closed-circuit security cameras, which have been placed throughout the building as well as the building exterior. Tenants may contact MBC Security Officers directly with any security-related concerns at 612-596-9521. If immediate attention is needed, please dial 911.
The MBC also has developed various plans for responding to emergency situations that could arise with regard to the City Hall and Courthouse building. Area Monitors have been identified in each City and County Department located within the building and are available to communicate emergency procedures to their department staff. Area Monitors as well as building tenants may contact the MBC with questions or concerns about responding to emergencies within the building at any time by calling 612-596-9519 or e-mail us. The MBC welcomes feedback with regard to building emergency planning related to tenants and visitors.
